Management Style: The Employee-Employer Way

The company will hire farmers as employees. Basic incentives that the company can initially offer to its employees:

  1. A fixed monthly salary of P 4,500 per farmer (or family) assigned to take charge of 1 (one) hectare.
  2. An incentive of 1 sack of rice for every quarter for each farmer (or family) starting January of 2011.
  3. An incentive of the farmer to collect the excess harvest of fresh seaweeds from the expected yield per hectare. The company will buy the fresh seaweeds from him based on the prevailing price. Effectivity will be on the first quarter of the year 2011.
  4. As an employee-farmer, he will be enrolled and become SSS, Philhealth and Pag-ibig member and his whole family members can enjoy all the benefits designed for them.
To qualify for the incentive package above, the following are the requirements of the farmer:
  1. He must possess the updated “Permit to Farm” documents assigned to him by the Municipality of Bien Unido.
  2. He must have attended a seminar on “Seaweed Farming Technique” conducted by BFAR. The company will notify the farmers on the schedule of the seminar.
As the company continuously collaborating with the people of the island, in virtue of the Principle of Corporate Social Responsibility, by 2011 the company will start its major programs through the close supervision of GREENTOP FOUNDATION:

  1. Educational Assistance for Elementary students by providing educational materials, giving extra allowances for the teaching staff, if possible, school improvements to fight against illiteracy. .
  2. To assist the Department of Health by conducting regular scheduled “Feeding Program” for malnourished children, regular visit of medical missionaries with free medicines
  3. To assist the barangay in their programs to strengthen the economic activity by introducing INCOME GENERATING ACTIVITIES for mothers who are left idle while their husbands are busy in the farms, example, shell crafting. This income generating activities will fight against poverty in the island. The company, on the other hand, commits to serve as their market, buys their finished product after series of thorough quality control.
Following requirements of mothers to qualify for the Livelihood Program:

a. Must be committed to the Program. An enrolment form to be filled up;
b. Must have attended the Training Program of which they are enrolled;
c. Can follow instructions without difficulty.

4. To help maintain healthy living environment in the island by providing common comfort rooms for a group of 3 families sharing together, an environment awareness program to maintain cleanliness in our marine resources especially our seas as source of our livelihood.
